Mr. Harris comes to NEIU after serving as an Assistant Dean at the University of Nevada, Reno since 2013. He has had a 30-plus-year career in university libraries throughout the country, first earning tenure at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. In addition he has held several leadership roles in the American Library Association and its divisions, including the Association of College & Research Libraries (ACRL) and the Association for Library Collections and Technical Services (ALCTS).

Please join us in welcoming Dean Harris!

As of July 1, 2019 NEIU Library interlibrary loan services are being managed by WorldShare instead of ILLiad. The system will work just like ILLiad, delivering electronic copies of articles borrowed from other libraries and managing non-I-Share book loans. However, you may notice a few differences.

Here is the new login page. Use your NEIU NetID and password to login to WorldShare. This is the same information you use to login to NEIUport, D2L, and Nmail.

WorldShare login page

By default, WorldShare will send an email to your NEIU email address when your requests are ready for online or in-person pickup. If you would prefer to receive a text or email at a different address, here's how:

  1. Log in to WorldShare using your NEIU NetID and password.
  2. Click on Communication Preferences.
  3. Enter a non-NEIU email address, a cell phone number, or both
  4. Under the Select Preferences area, choose the Send library account updates to me button along with the appropriate check boxes.
  5. Click the Save Changes button.

WorldShare Communication Preferences

ILLiad is no longer available for interlibrary loan requests, so please update your links if you have it bookmarked. If you have any questions, please contact circill@neiu.edu.

Finally, if you cannot login to WorldShare (but can login to NEIUport, D2L, and Nmail), or if you do not remember your NEIU NetID and password, please reset your NEIU password using the university's Identity Self-Service Login.
