Do you have a research paper coming up? Are you having a hard time identifying sources or writing up your bibliography? Do you study at the Pedroso Center? Take advantage of the walk-in hours with librarians, every other Tuesday from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on the following dates:
- February 11 & 25
- March 10 & 24
- April 14 & 28
Stop by and get the research help you need to succeed! If those hours do not work for you, there are many other ways to ask a librarian for help.
To support cost savings for students, NEIU Libraries invites applications to attend a faculty workshop on open educational resources at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 3. At this workshop, faculty will learn more about different types of open educational resources and the benefits of adopting open educational resources, and will have the chance to ask any questions about these resources.
Faculty who attend the two-hour workshop and write one brief review of an open educational resource for the Open Textbook Library within 30 days of the workshop date will receive a $200 stipend.
Participation for the workshop is capped at 20 faculty (instructors, adjuncts and tenure-track faculty are eligible), and priority registration will be given to faculty who have taught, are teaching, or plan to teach general education courses in academic year 2019-2020 or academic year 2020-2021.
Apply online through Sunday, March 22, and please contact Digital Scholarship Librarian Alyssa Vincent at a-vincent@neiu.edu or Education Librarian Michelle Oh at m-oh@neiu.edu with any questions.
