What's Happening at the NEIU Libraries?

Black Heritage Month 2023 and an exciting collaboration between the Pedroso Center and the NEIU Libraries!

Happy Black Heritage Month!  We're excited to partner with Dr. Dewitt Scott, Director of the Angelina Pedroso Center for Diversity and Intercultural Affairs at NEIU to celebrate!  Throughout the month, we'll be sharing videos of Dr. Scott reviewing different books in honor of Black Heritage Month.  The first video reviews the 2012 book The Classroom and the Cell, written by Mumia Abu-Jamal and Marc Lamont Hill.

The main campus library is also hosting an in-person book display for the duration of the month as a compliment to Dr. Scott's reviews.

Check out the project at the following link: Dr. Scott's Book Reviews for Black Heritage Month.  For extra reading, check out the NEIU Libraries digital book display for Black Heritage Month.  For more, you can also check out the Pedroso Center Black Heritage Month Calendar.
