HRD (Human Resource Development)

Richard A. Swanson defines Hurman Resource Development (HRD) as "a process of developing and unleashing expertise for the purpose of improving performance." Swanson's 2008 brief on the foundations of HRD can be found at the link below.

HPT (Human Performance Technology)

The International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) is a professional organization that seeks "to develop and recognize the proficiency of its members and advocate the use of Human Performance Technology" (HPT). ISPI's explanation of what HPT is can be found on the following webpage:

OD (Organization Development)
