The Asia Pacific Sociological Association (APSA)
The Asia Pacific Sociological Association (APSA) is mainly engaged in the scholars of higher education institutions (universities, graduate schools and research institutes) that conducts education and research in the Asia-Pacific region or conducts research and education for the region as well as independent researches. It is aimed to share the academic achievements, academic information exchange, and training of young researchers.
Association of Black Sociologists
Founded in 1970, the Association of Black Sociologists emerged out of a series of conversations in the Caucus of Black Sociologists about how to best advocate for the interests of Black sociologists and Black people domestically and globally. Since its inception, the organization has supported and cultivated scores of Black social scientists and Black community activists in service of intellectual and social organizing for the betterment of Black folks’ lives at all intersections.
European Sociological Association
ESA is an academic association of sociologists and a non-profit Europe-wide association made up of 3000+ members. It was established in 1994-95, following deliberations and consultations among sociologists from a diverse range of countries.
International Sociological Association
The International Sociological Association (ISA) is a non-profit association for scientific purposes. Founded in 1949 under the auspices of UNESCO, it has NGO consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). The goal of the ISA is to represent sociologists everywhere, regardless of their school of thought, scientific approaches, or ideological opinion, and to advance sociological knowledge throughout the world. Its members come from 126 countries.
