Find the Full Text of an Article

Find It at NEIU

This button provides direct links from the NEIU Libraries' databases to online full-text articles, when available. If the full text of an article is not available online, request a copy of the article through WorldShare interlibrary loan.

Or search for a specific journal by Title or ISSN.

Searching the Library Catalog

NEIU Libraries catalog with search results for "circadian rhythms"

  1. Type in a keyword or brief phrase
  2. Select whether to search just NEIU Libraries or I-Share libraries across Illinois
  3. Adjust your results by selecting a resource type, such as Books
  4. If you prefer online resources, choose Available online.
TIP: Ebooks cannot be borrowed from other libraries, so if you want ebooks, be sure to search NEIU Libraries.

Searching library databases

  1. Start at the NEIU Libraries Databases and Online Resources website and choose a database based on your subject.
  2. Select advanced search when possible. Type one main topic or keyword in each space. Start broad (one term), view results, and add an additional topic and run the search again.
  3. Apply limits to your search such as the last 10 years, academic journals, etc.
  4. Read the abstracts for a summary of the article to determine if it is relevant before you get the full text.
TIP: Don't select the "Full Text" limit option. That just limits you to full-text articles available in this database. It doesn't consider all of the NEIU Libraries' subscriptions and the fact that we will request full text articles for you for free from other libraries. And they usually arrive in 2-3 days to your NEIU email address!
