The Language of Business

Accounting is frequently called "the language of business." This is because the financial statements produced by accountants communicate an organization's economic activities to people inside an organization and to people outside an organization. Identifying, recording, analyzing and interpreting these activities is done in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and with government regulations.
