As a student, faculty, or staff member of NEIU, you have access to university-approved Google apps that can make work or academic tasks easier. This section will cover the most popular Google apps. As more apps are introduced, we will update this guide to accommodate our academic community.

Most used Google Apps

Nmail is NEIU's version of Gmail. 

If you have used MS Word before then the tools present in Google docs should not be unfamiliar. There are options to create documents in Google docs then export them to other formats such as .docx and .pdf.

This is Google's version of Excel. It has almost all the basic functions to create formulas and spreadsheets.  

Google Hangouts is a way to collaborate with others using teleconferencing and chat.  

Slides is Google's version of PowerPoint. This app allows users to create online presentations. 

Google Drive is online cloud storage. Account limit is 25 Gigabytes (This might change in the future).
