Starting Monday, August 24, the Main Library building will be available to NEIU students for quiet study -- by advanced reservation only -- through our Click & Sit program. View our complete NEIU Library Operating Plan for full details.

"Click & Sit" to reserve a seat

NEIU Students: We've removed some furniture and computers so that you can study and still maintain six feet of physical distance from others.

To request a quiet study space, please complete a Main Library Study Space Request Form to reserve a date and time. Only students currently registered for Fall 2020 classes may reserve a two-hour block for use of the library. Please note that there is a maximum limit of 33 students at a time. You'll need to submit a separate request form for each date/time you want access to a study space, and you will receive a confirmation for each accepted request.

"Grab & Go" to get books and other library materials

Through our Grab & Go service, NEIU students, faculty, and staff are able to request physical materials from Ronald Williams Library and through limited I-Share and other interlibrary loan partners, which can be picked up at the entrance of the Library. Allow up to 3 days for NEIU items and 7-10 days for I-Share items to be processed and ready for pickup. Extended delivery times are the result of required book quarantine times. For more information on how to request items, please see our Intro to Research Guide.

Returning borrowed materials:

You will not be penalized or fined for materials checked out before COVID. Please return these items no later than October 1 to the book drop outside the Main Library front doors. Any pre-COVID materials not returned by October 1, 2020 will be considered overdue.
