Education Research Guide

Most of the education materials are located on the third floor of the Ronald Williams library at NEIU. 

Search the NEIU catalog to find books in the Ronald Williams library, or search all I-Share Libraries and request books through I-share.

The following Library of Congress classifications will be helpful to you when browsing for education.

• LA--History of education
• LB--Theory and practice of education
• LC--Special aspects of education
• LD--Individual institutions, United States
• LE--Individual institutions, America (except United States)
• LF--Individual institutions, Europe
• LG--Individual institutions, Asia, Africa, Indian Ocean islands, Australia, New Zealand, Pacific islands
• LH--College and school magazines and papers
• LJ--Student fraternaties and societies, United States

The Library has a broad collection of books designed for use by teachers and educators, called the Curriculum Materials Collection (CMC). The CMC materials include:

• Children's books 
• Elementary and secondary school textbooks
• Curriculum teacher resources 
• These materials are all available on the 3rd floor of the library.

• PDQT Open is a free service allowing you to search for open access dissertations and theses.
• You may also wish to search for dissertations and theses using Google Scholar or other search engines.
