Log in to your library account using your NEIU user ID and password - the same username you use with NEIUport and campus email. Then you can use your library account to:
Renew your books online
Create and save lists of materials to your e-Shelf
Request books to be put on hold or delivered to your nearest campus library
Go to the tab for "My Account" and choose "Loans" from the menu on the left to view the list of books you have checked out. Check the box next to each book you'd like to renew and hit "Renew Selected."
While most of your materials will be listed in your library account, materials borrowed through WorldShare will not be listed here. If you've logged into your library account and the item you want to renew isn't listed, log into your WorldShare account (using your NetID and Password). Please see the image below to view the WorldShare Login Link.
Saving the website address in your browser may not work if you're trying to get back to an item later. If you'd like to save the link to get to a particular item on the NEIU Libraries website at a later date, be sure to use the "Page Link" tool under the "Save for Later" section of the item's record. See the image below for more information:
Use your e-Shelf to save or "pin" your favorite items from the catalog for later reference.
(Note: You must be signed into your library account to perform this action)
Once you've pinned an item, you'll notice the icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen briefly turns red.
To access and manage your "favorite" items, click the pin icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. Here, you can add or remove items at your leisure, or sort them into groups by adding your own customized labels.
The NEIU Libraries Search box allows you to find and access books, articles, streaming media, and more through a single search box.
Please note that there are many ways to search for and find online resources such as journal articles, e-books, and streaming media. The Library Catalog is not a comprehensive search of all library resources, but it is the most effective way to explore multiple library resources from a single interface.
